Fifth day (12/02/2020)

Today we did two things but, it occupied the whole class.

The first half and hour we were finishing the mock-up of the solar system that was begging the day before. We did many photos about where the planets should be located in real life according to the datas that we deal whit. Was quite interesting but it would be more motivated for us if we could manage smaller distances, because dealing with those enormous distances makes us being a bit lost.

The last half of the class we talked and continued with our plastic. Irene told us to think how can we do for solving that plastic problem that we find in our environment, the Ces Don Bosco for example. My group commented three options that could reduce the use of plastic here. Firstly we talked about the idea of create an Instagram account about the use of plastic in the CES Don Bosco. As we thought about using reusable bottles, the second idea was to show a design of the aluminum bottle to  the headmaster. And finally, collect signatures among the students for knowing their opinion about that.

Fourth day (07/02/2020)

This fourth day, Irene explained us what we are going to do on Wednesday. She talked about doing a mock-up of the solar system but with some changes, she wanted to represent it in real scale with day to day objects. Firstly we have to make some calculations transforming the real data into more close data using the rule of three.

We did the calculations and talked about which objects can we use to represent each planet. We have to put as the sun, a pilates ball, cause it has 50cm of diameter. According with that norm we have to build our solar system mock up.

I'm very exited about how are we going to develop this activity. I think that it can be useful when we teach this core concept of science

Third day (05/02/2020)

We begin our first unit doing a different activity, so in the first hour, Irene take us out from our common environment, our class. She carried us to the playground for doing a thinking routine in a "natural environment", as we are studying natural science, we have to develop our thinking according to that fact. The thinking routine was "I See, I think, I wonder", the main thing that i thought meanwhile i was doing this routine that how important is the human footprint in the world that we know today.

Then, in the second hour, introduced to us the first unit that talks about the universe. We talked in groups about some questions as "Who I am?" "Where do we go?"... After that, we commented it in the class.

Finally, Irene asked for bring a new that talks about the environmental problem about plastics. We talked about real data of that problem. That was quite impressive to realice the amount of wast that are in our seas and oceans.
